The incredible gift of life
As a liver transplant recipient, every single day is a special gift. I now have the chance to do things that seemed utterly impossible just three years ago. I get to travel and share my incredible story – my personal "gift of life." But the most profound story I get to tell is about my donor family. Donation is the most crucial part of this entire process; without donors, there would be no stories of survivors.
Honoring a lasting legacy
At Transplanting Memories, we advocate fiercely for organ donation because we've witnessed its power firsthand. My life was saved by a deceased donor from a state I'd barely visited. While I represent Tennessee Donor Services, the joy I share is a direct result of that selfless act. My donor family is honored to know their husband, dad, brother, uncle – is living on through me. This is the profound joy and connection we champion through organ transplants.
